VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Police in British Columbia are testing an innovative new mobile system to scanned vehicle license plates.
The new system can be used to track everything from traffic law violators to terrorists.
The Chilliwack Progress reported on Nov. 12 that the Automated License Plate Recognition, or ALPR, system for the past month has been road-tested in southern British Columbia by five unmarked and two marked police cars.
